My First Music Review (Traditional Chinese Music and others)

YES!!!!!! I've been meaning to do this and i finally have and please don't judge me because i don't like rap and you know i can understand why people like it and i will say it does sound nice but for me i don't like it because the subject matter tends to change from love and tragedy to party and F b*tches and that kinda annoy's me and yes you could say the same thing about the music i like but with my music songs don't get old and fade away like with rap and hip hop and all those other types of music of today's media. So i just want you to know i don't have a personal hatred for rap i just don't enjoy it like most people and Fuck (yes i'm using fuck here rather then up there) Twilight, this book and movie series ruined werewolves and vampires especially vampires and no vampires don't sparkle when they move into the sun, they fucking burn and turn to ash. enough of the rant until my next video. See you guy's next week.

The hills have eyes (1977)

Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes (1977)

Now to start of of this review i must say i like the remake of this film in the same way i like this film, why i like them is not just because of the violence in both films or the extremely grotesque scenes in the new ones (though not usually my favorites), no it's not just those aspects, it's the fact that this is a more original idea, now if your not familiar with the original film which is the one I'm reviewing today here is the Imdb plot description:

On the way to California, a family has the misfortune to have their car break down in an area closed to the public, and inhabited by violent savages ready to attack.

sounds simple enough though it still works and makes this film all the more creepy. Now the remake (reviewing that tomorrow) the bad character's of the film aren't just savages, they are also inbreeds and victims of nuclear radiation who are quite mad that the people are intruding on they're turf. Now back to this film kind of the same thing only they don't look quite as nasty as the remake but still quite effective seeing as how the lighting they use (which is incredible for films like this) makes the evil character look more menacing like on the poster. Now to finish this off I'm going to say that though the remake is not quite as powerful, it does create it's own style and feel which i like because it doesn't try to be this movie for the most part other then character's, setting, and tone but at the same time make it's own film and so i leave you on a note of happiness that you can enjoy this film and it's remake as much as i do and i bid thee farewell till tomorrow.

Creature (2011)

Creature (2011)

Okay this movie let me just say is one of the funniest creature features I've ever seen, it's one of those "it's so bad it's epic" films that you can't help but enjoy (P.S my friends and peers at school are awesome for suggesting this and i want to thank them). Anyway lets review this, first if your not familiar with this film here is the

imdb description:  In the back country of Louisiana, a group of friends unearth a terrible secret that unleashes a monster from the depths of the swamp.

very short and to the point, also if you didn't notice on the poster one of my favorite actor's Sid Haig is in this movie, now if you saw rob zombies house of 1000 corpses and it's sequel the devil's rejects then you know who this guy because he in both films played the crazy psychopathic clown, Captain Spalding, but back to the movie, it's your basic monster killing teens movie with some Jason Vorhees looking moments and many strange moments. Now what makes this film so awesome is the monster himself whose name leaves me at the moment but thats beside the point. The monster is a guy in a rubber suit and this is the funniest thing ever because you can see that the suit was made in a rush because of all the scenes where you see the guy in the suit (i.e. when he's about to kill this one teen he roars and you can see the guys mouth because the of the lighting). Now i'm going to finish off this review by saying for those of you, who like me love cheesy, guy in rubber suit monster movies then this movie is for you and gore fans will enjoy to because theres a pretty good some of gore and guts.

The Thing (2011)

The Thing (2011)

To start this review i am going to say this "GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!" this movie was epic, freakin epic no amount of words can describe this film..... but i can try can't i? First and for most this is a prequel to the 1989 the thing starring Kurt Russel and this movie explains what happened prior to the 1989 film, If you notice in the '89 film the block of ice that the alien emerged from.  This film also explains why the dog (SPOILER ALERT!!!!: even though if you saw the first film you would know the dog is an alien right? well yes but also the guy shooting at the dog in the beginning is the actual dogs owner (because this dog is a mimic). The end of the new movie is the beginning of the '89 film, you confused yet, well it'll all make sense soon. Now when this film starts up you see some beautiful scenery and the camera pans toward a vehicle made for snow travel (I in all honesty don't know what they are called) and inside this vehicle are three people. Now this doesn't really further the story till they fall down a crevice that appears from under them and what they find you don't really see or at least not yet you don't. Now we cut to the main character Kate Lloyd played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead who gives a great performance and to my surprise is quit believable and she doesn't seem like an actor but an actual person. Now as we progress through the movie after the alien escapes from it's icy prison, the characters find out that the alien could be anyone or anything because it can replicate it's victims DNA and eventually becomes them. The CGI for the movie was awesome it looked real and it excited the hell out of me when the climax started. Go check this movie out and support our alien overlords.

Dead Space Downfall (2008)

Dead Space Downfall (2008)

Let me first say i love dead space and dead space 2 , they are some of the most awesome games i own on my ps3 and pc (dead space 1 on ps3 and dead space 2 on pc). Now back to the review, I went into this movie not knowing that it was in fact a prequel to the first game, here is the Imdb description:

"The USG Ishimura, a miner spaceship, is transporting a strange artifact called the Red Marker. In the Aegis VII colony, where the Red Marker was found, there are some suicides and murders and the people are slowly going mad. The people are being infected by something. Barrow, the foreman, finds the body of his wife having committed suicide. Barrow decides to escape the colony's madness and, taking his wife's body, goes on board the Ishimura. But something happens to Barrow's wife on board the Ishimura.Written by Emilio Magdaleno".

After finding out it was a prequel, i wanted to restart the film and watch it over again just to help clear my confusion. Also just by looking at the cover you may notice that 1: the hand is a reversed version of the hand on the first dead space case and also that the film itself is animated, not that there is anything wrong with it just catches you off guard if you thought it would be live action but hey thats why i'm here to help you so you know these things, am i right?  You may also notice they don't talk about Issac (if you don't know he's the main character in the games except for the iphone version, that game has a female lead) and i'm guessing it's because it's a prequel but still his wife is on the ship and you see her a couple of times up until she kills herself (play the first game to find out more) and there are various plot holes and gaps that are never explained and that is about all the complaints i have to offer. Although it has it's faults Dead Space Downfall is a good movie especially if you played the games and wanted to know what happened prior to the first even though now theres a game that talks about the origins of the marker and what not. This film is recommended for those who love some alien feeling moments and for all the gore fans out there this movie doesn't shy away from showing some grotesque scenes of disembodied people being eaten or infected (explanation through out the game and during the movie). Also on a side note check out my favorite blog in the world http://hayeshudsonshouseofhorror.blogspot.com/ for more horror films and all sorts of other things

FANTASIA (1940)

    FANTASIA (1940)

This being my first review i wanted to do something that so many people haven't seen from my generation, And
though not a horror film in the least this movie scared me as a young child because some of the images and cartoons were fear inducing. If you don't know about this movie here's the Imdb description:
Disney animators set pictures to Western classical music as Leopold Stokowski conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra. "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" features Mickey Mouse as an aspiring magician who oversteps his limits. "The Rite of Spring" tells the story of evolution, from single-celled orginism's to the death of the dinosaurs. "Dance of the Hours" is a comic ballet performed by ostriches, hippos, elephants, and alligators. "Night on Bald Mountain" and "Ave Maria" set the forces of darkness and light against each other as a devilish revel is interrupted by the coming of a new day.

This movie was mostly animated and filled with classical music like Mozart and Bach. It's also one of the first colored cartoon movies. I can't truly describe how amazing this movie is, it tells such epic stories without any dialogue and the emotion and tone is set with the music and the facial expressions and body language. The only dialog is when the Renowned classic music critic Deam tells us the song and in the explanation for the first song Deam asks that you close your eyes and imagine what the song represents in your mind. Now that's about as much as i'm going to say, so the only way you'll be able to know more is to see the film.  I suggest this movie to anyone who loves Disney and some great animation and classical music.
